The stylish ladies of B-town are always experimenting with their wardrobes, giving the rest of us tons of fashion inspiration. One of the most iconic fashion trends that never goes out of style is a fusion look-- think a quintessentially desi outfit enhanced with a contemporary silhouette Western. One such easy trend that has us drooling is the saree and jacket pairing that can take ethnic dressing up a notch. From Sonam Kapoor Ahuja to Kangana Ranaut, here is a list of Bollywood actors who made heads turn with their elegant saree jacket designs.

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja chose a stunning Anavila drape and added her own personal touch to it. She wrapped the simple saree around a similarly minimal blouse and topped it with a sheer cape in the same colour. Sonam accessorised her look with layered gold necklaces and matching stud earrings. To contrast her simple outfit, she glammed up with heavily kohl-lined eyes and a touch of glitter in her eyeshadow. She kept the rest of her makeup neutral and pulled back her hair in a sleek bun.

Trust the fashionista to treat us to more than one version of the same style. We can’t have enough of her interpretation of the saree jacket trend. For this look, Sonam chose a white saree with a bold multi-coloured border that features delicate resham embroidery in floral and paisley motifs. To further amp up the already glamourous six-yard number, Sonam paired it with a jacket covered in intricate thread and mirror work as well as fun tassel and pom pom details. She completed her look with a dark silver choker, matching earrings, and kadas. She opted for smoky eyes, defined brows and plum lips, paired with a sleek braid.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra

Shilpa Shetty Kundra wore an elegant Advaya striped saree in ivory and gold. Giving her traditional outfit a modern and sharp look, the actress layered it with a matching knee-length silk jacket. Shilpa completed her look with a gold choker and delicate earrings by Amrapali Jewels. Doing full justice to her beautiful ensemble, she went for basic hair and makeup with nude lips, perfectly drawn winged eyeliner and a ponytail.

Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon wore a floral printed lehenga in scarlet rose with an open-back strappy blouse designed by Shahla Khan. The actor added her own spin to the lehenga by pairing it with an organza ruffle detail long jacket instead of a dupatta, taking the oomph factor up by several notches. She paired the outfit with metallic juttis and accessorised with a rose diamond-encrusted necklace with ruby drops. Kriti completed her look with a crimson lip tint, highlighted cheeks, soft smoky eyes and left her mid-parted soft curls open.

Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha donned a blush peach Anamika Khanna draped saree set along with a matching floor-skimming embroidered jacket. The actor teamed her look with a statement silver necklace by Lara Morakhia and chunky earrings, giving the contemporary silhouette an edgy touch. She completed her look with a middle-parted wavy hairdo, well-done brows, matching pink eye shadow and pink-nude lips.

Karisma Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor matched a beautiful Raw Mango saree in red with a cream-coloured long jacket from the same brand. She accessorised her look with Ghanasingh Be True earrings, a kada from Jaipur Gems and a gold box clutch. The actor completed her look with lips in a bold red, pinkish-red blush on the cheeks, glittery eye makeup and a sleek ponytail.

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut made a statement by pairing a simple light peach organic cotton saree with a black Givenchy trench coat. She accessorised with a Prada bag, wayfarers and black pointed toe stilettos. She completed her look by tying her hair in a simple low bun, minimal makeup and nude lips.
