Ingredients For Brahmi Dal Fry Recipe

  • For Brahmi Dal Fry

    • 1 cup soaked yellow lentils

    • water as required

    • 1 tbsp dried brahmi leaves

    • 1 tsp turmeric powder

    • rock salt to taste

    • 4 tsp ghee

    • ½ tsp asafoetida

    • ½ tsp cumin seeds

    • 1 tbsp chopped ginger

    • ½ tsp turmeric powder

    • 1 cup chopped tomatoes

    • rock salt to taste

    • water as required

    • freshly chopped coriander leaves

    • ghee for garnish

    • fresh coriander for garnish

How to make Brahmi Dal Fry Recipe?

  1. Soak 1 cup yellow lentils for 2 hours and then strain the excess water.
  2. In a pressure cooker, add yellow lentils, 1 tbsp dried brahmi leaves, 1 tsp turmeric powder, rock salt and let it cook properly.
  3. Heat 4 tsp ghee in a pan and add 1/2 tsp asafoetida, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp chopped ginger, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 cup chopped tomatoes, rock salt to taste and let it cook.
  4. Add the cooked dal into tadka and mix it well. Brahmi dal fry is ready.
  5. Garnish it with ghee and fresh coriander and serve it with vegetable paratha.
